This page exists because the search demand exists. People look for an APK either because Google Play will not serve them the app or because sideloading is simply a habit. Both are understandable, and the answer is still no — with reasons rather than a policy statement.

Why Google Play only

Three reasons, and the third is the one that actually matters.

Updates

A sideloaded build does not update. When a payment library needs patching or a security fix goes out, a Play install picks it up overnight and an APK sitting on a phone does not. Over a year that gap becomes substantial, and the user has no way of knowing they are behind.

Integrity

Google Play verifies that a package is signed by the developer who published it. An APK from a file-sharing site carries no such assurance, and a modified build looks identical from the outside. A repackaged gambling app with an extra permission or a swapped payment screen is a straightforwardly profitable thing for somebody to make.

We cannot support it

If something misbehaves in a build we did not publish, we have no way to reproduce it and no idea what has been changed. A support conversation about a sideloaded app ends with a recommendation to install the real one, which makes the whole detour a waste of an evening.

If Google Play will not install the app

Two causes cover nearly all of it, and neither has a workaround at our end.

Android version

The app requires Android 9 or later. Below that, Play will not offer the install at all. There is no older build available and no way to force it, because the app uses payment and security APIs that do not exist on earlier versions.

Account region

A Google account registered to a country where we do not operate will not see the listing. Changing a Google account region is possible but has consequences well beyond this app, and it is not something worth doing for it.

What to use instead

The mobile site does everything the app does except push notifications. Prices, in-play, cash out, the cashier and the account menu are all there, and it can be added to a home screen so it opens like an app. The mobile betting page sets out the differences honestly.

What sideloading actually risks

The argument against an APK is usually made in vague terms about security. It is worth being specific, because the specifics are more persuasive than the generalities.

Permissions you did not agree to

A repackaged Android app can request permissions the original never asked for — SMS access, accessibility services, overlay drawing — and a user tapping through an install screen will grant them. Accessibility and overlay permissions in particular are what allow one app to read and interact with another, which on a phone holding a banking app is the whole game.

A payment screen that is not ours

The cashier is the obvious target. A modified build can present a screen that looks exactly like the real one and send the card details somewhere else, and the user has no way of noticing because everything afterwards behaves normally. That is the specific attack sideloaded gambling apps exist to carry out.

No way to check

Nothing about a file tells you whether it has been modified. Size and version number are trivially faked, and a checksum published on the same site as the download proves nothing. Google Play’s verification of the developer signature is the check, and it is the check a sideloaded file bypasses.

If you have already installed one

Uninstall it, change the account password from a different device, and check active sessions for anything you do not recognise. If card details were entered into it, ring the bank rather than us — they can stop and recover a payment in a way no gambling operator can.

Spotting a fake app

Worth knowing generally rather than just about us, because gambling apps are a favoured target.

• Check the publisher name on the Play listing, not the app name. Anybody can call an app anything.
• Check the install count. A genuine listing for a launched brand has a substantial number; a clone has a handful.
• Be suspicious of a download link in a message. We do not send app links by text or email.
• Never enter card details in an app that asks outside the cashier. Ours never does.

If card details have already gone into something that was not us, the bank is the first call rather than us. They can stop and recover a payment; we cannot do either for a transaction that never reached us.
