That table is the whole offer. Everything below it is explanation, not extra conditions, and if the two ever disagree the terms published with the promotion at the time you take it are the ones that count.
How the free bets work
The mechanism is deliberately boring. Open an account, put a bet on, wait for it to settle, and the free bets arrive. No claim form, no ticking a box at the checkout, no code.
What counts as a qualifying bet
A qualifying bet is a real-money bet of £20 or more, at odds of 1/1 (2.00) or greater, on any sportsbook market. It can be a single or a multiple — a multiple qualifies on its overall price, so four legs at short odds that multiply out past evens are fine.
- It has to settle. A bet on a match three weeks away holds the offer up until that match is played.
- It cannot be cashed out. Taking cash out ends the bet early and the offer goes with it.
- It has to be your first bet. The offer attaches to the first qualifying stake and nothing after it.
- Casino, live casino and virtual markets do not qualify — this is a sportsbook promotion.
When the free bets land
Within a few minutes of the qualifying bet settling, in almost every case. The free bets appear as a separate balance on the slip rather than as cash, and a notification goes out if you have them switched on. If an hour goes by after settlement and nothing has arrived, live chat can see the qualifying bet and say what has gone wrong.
Spending a free bet
A free bet behaves like a stake you do not get back. Put £10 of free bet on something at 3/1 and a win returns £30 rather than £40, because the stake itself is not returned with the winnings. That is standard across the industry, and it is the single detail people most often work out after the event rather than before.
Finding it on the slip
Make your selection as normal. Under the stake box there is a free bet line showing what is available; tap it and the stake fills in. If you type a figure into the stake box instead, you have just placed a cash bet, and we cannot unwind that afterwards.
- Pick a marketAnything on the sportsbook at 1/1 (2.00) or bigger.
- Open the slipThe free bet line sits directly beneath the stake field.
- Apply the free betTapping it replaces the cash stake rather than adding to it.
- Check the return figureIt will show winnings only, because the stake is not coming back.
Can it be split?
No. The £10 goes on in one piece, on one bet. Some bookmakers issue several smaller tokens instead; we issue one, which suits a single decent bet and does not suit spreading across an afternoon.
The 7-day clock
Free bets expire 7 days after they are credited, not 7 days after you sign up. An unused free bet disappears at the end of that window and cannot be reinstated, including by support, because the expiry is set when the token is issued.
If you are signing up on a Tuesday for a fixture a fortnight away, the sensible order is: qualify on something this weekend, then use the free bet on the match you actually care about while it is still live.

Stake £20, get £10 in free bets
No code. One settled qualifying bet at 1/1 (2.00) or bigger is the whole requirement.
Open the offerThe casino welcome package
Our casino runs an entirely separate welcome, and the two do not interact: taking one does not forfeit the other, and the wagering attached to the casino package has nothing to do with the sportsbook free bets.
How the four deposits work
Each deposit of £10 or more triggers the next tier in sequence. You do not have to take all four, and there is no time pressure between them beyond the 30-day life of each bonus once it is credited.
Wagering, in plain terms
The bonus carries 35x wagering, which means it is played through thirty-five times before the balance becomes cash. The figure counts stakes rather than losses, so anything that comes back as a win and goes on again counts towards it a second time. For somebody who plays slots regularly that adds up in the ordinary course of an evening or two.
While wagering is running the maximum stake per spin or hand is £5. Staying under it is the one thing worth watching, because anything above the cap does not count towards the requirement even though the balance still moves.
The spins
The 200 free spins are released 40 a day across 5 days on Big Bass Splash, and anything they win lands as bonus funds under the same 35x requirement. A day’s unclaimed spins do not roll over into the next day.
Worked examples
Numbers land better than prose here, so here are three, all using the sportsbook offer and a £10 free bet.
| Free bet odds | Decimal | Winnings paid | Stake returned |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1/1 | 2.00 | £10 | No |
| 5/2 | 3.50 | £25 | No |
| 9/2 | 5.50 | £45 | No |
| 10/1 | 11.00 | £100 | No |
Set against a cash bet, a £10 free bet at 5/2 is worth £10 less than the same cash stake would return. That is not a catch, it is the definition of a free bet, and it is worth knowing before you pick a price.
Who the offer suits
Honest answer: it suits people who were going to have a bet anyway. It does not turn a bad weekend into a good one and it is not a reason to stake more than you intended.
Take it if
- You already planned a bet of around £20 this week
- You back prices at evens or bigger as a matter of course
- You will get to the free bet inside 7 days
- You want one straightforward promotion rather than a points scheme
Leave it if
- Your usual stake is a couple of pounds — £20 is a real commitment
- You only back short-priced favourites, which will not qualify
- You are looking for something without a deposit; we do not run one
- You intend to cash the qualifying bet out
The terms that actually bite
Most promotional small print is procedural. Four clauses are the ones that cause the arguments, so they are worth stating plainly rather than leaving in a footer.
- One per person. Also one per household, card and device. A second account does not get a second offer, and duplicate accounts are closed.
- Cashing out voids the qualification. The bet has to run to settlement.
- Free bet stakes are not returned. Winnings only.
- Verification before withdrawal. Winnings from a free bet are real money and go through the same checks as anything else — see verification.
Everything else is on the promotion terms page, and the plain-English guide takes the industry vocabulary apart if any of it is unfamiliar.
Why there is a minimum price
The 1/1 (2.00) floor is the condition people query most, usually along the lines of why a bet is a bet whatever the odds. The answer is unglamorous. Without a minimum, the cheapest way to collect the free bets would be to stake £20 at 1/25 on something almost certain, lose a few pence on the transaction and walk off with £10. Every operator running a welcome offer sets a floor for that reason, and evens is towards the friendlier end of the range.
Checking a price qualifies
In fractional terms, anything where the first number is at least as big as the second qualifies: 1/1, 6/5, 5/2, 10/1. In decimals, anything from 2.00 upwards. A price of 4/5 or 1.80 does not, and the slip will say so before you confirm rather than after the bet has settled.
On a multiple, the test runs on the combined price. Three legs at 4/5 each multiply out to roughly 5/1, which clears the floor comfortably even though not one of the three would qualify on its own.
If something goes wrong
Two situations account for nearly every query about the welcome offer, and both are quicker to resolve if you know what evidence to have to hand.
The free bets have not arrived
First check the qualifying bet has actually settled, which is a different thing from the match having finished — settlement can lag a final whistle by a few minutes on some markets. If it has settled and an hour has passed, open chat with the bet reference to hand. Support can see the qualifying bet and either credit the free bets or explain which condition was missed.
The free bet expired unused
This one we cannot fix, and it is worth being straight about that rather than inviting a conversation that ends in no. The 7-day life is set when the token is issued and support has no facility to extend it. If you know in advance you will not get to a bet inside the week, the better move is to delay the qualifying bet rather than the free one.
Bet the same way after a quiet run as before it, and the fun stays where it belongs. A quiet word with somebody impartial is available on 0808 8020 133, free, whenever you want it. Anyone under 18 is outside the rules here.
Common questions
Is there a LadBet promo code for the welcome offer?
No. There is no code, and there never has been. The offer attaches to a qualifying bet automatically. Sites advertising a LadBet code are guessing at one.
Does a multiple count as a qualifying bet?
Yes, as long as the overall price is 1/1 (2.00) or bigger and the total stake is £20 or more. The individual legs can be shorter than evens.
Do I get my free bet stake back if it wins?
No. A free bet pays the winnings and keeps the stake. A £10 free bet at 5/2 returns £25, not £35.
What happens if my qualifying bet is void?
A void bet has not settled as a win or a loss, so it does not qualify. The stake comes back and the next qualifying bet you place takes its place.
Can I take the sports offer and the casino package?
Yes. They are separate promotions with separate terms. Taking one does not cancel the other.
Is there a no-deposit offer?
No. Neither the free bets nor the casino spins are available without a deposit, and we would rather say so than let you go looking.
