This page exists because of a search habit rather than because of any product feature on our side. People look for a promo code before signing up anywhere, and a whole industry has grown up around supplying one whether or not it exists. For us it does not, so the honest thing is a page that says so rather than a page that implies otherwise while technically telling the truth.

How the offer is applied

Automatically, on the qualifying bet itself. There is no field to fill in, no opt-in to tick, and nothing at all to remember when you reach the cashier.

The sequence

Open an account, deposit, place a bet of £20 or more at 1/1 (2.00) or bigger, wait for it to settle. The free bets arrive within minutes. At no point is there a box to fill in, and there is no stage at which a missing code could cost you the offer.

Why we do not use codes

A code is a tracking mechanism for affiliates and a segmentation tool for marketing. It also creates a category of customer who did everything right and missed out on a technicality, which produces a support conversation nobody enjoys. Attaching the offer to the bet removes that failure mode entirely.

Sites offering a code

They fall into three groups, and only one of them is actively dishonest.

Affiliate pages guessing

A review site with a template that expects a code field will fill it with something plausible — often the brand name in capitals, or the word WELCOME. It does nothing. It is not a scam, it is a content template being filled in by somebody who has not checked.

Coupon aggregators

Sites that collect codes across retail and treat gambling as another category. They generate entries from search demand rather than from offers, which is why you will find codes listed for brands that have never issued one. Again, harmless but useless.

Lookalike sites

What people mean when they search for a code

Usually one of three things, and none of them requires a code to get.

• "Is there an offer at all?" Yes — £10 in free bets for a £20 qualifying bet, and a separate casino package.
• "Is there a better offer than the public one?" No. There is one welcome offer and everybody gets the same one.
• "Can I get something without depositing?" No. We do not run a no-deposit offer of any kind.

The second of those is worth dwelling on. Some operators run enhanced offers through specific affiliates, which is where the idea of a hidden better code comes from. We do not, so there is no version of our welcome offer that you are missing by arriving directly.

Codes at other operators

Worth a paragraph, because the reason codes exist elsewhere explains why they do not here.

A code is a tracking token. Affiliates use one to prove a customer came from them, and marketing teams use one to run different offers for different audiences without publishing all of them. Both are legitimate business reasons and neither benefits the customer, who gets a field to fill in and a way to miss out by forgetting. Where an operator does use codes, there is usually one public code that everybody can use and it is printed on the offer page — so even there, a code found on a third-party site is rarely better than the obvious one.
