Signing in takes an email address and a password. When it does not work, the cause is almost always one of five things, and all five are listed below with the fix.
Sign in from the button at the top of any page. The same credentials work on the website and in the app — there is no separate app account and nothing to register twice.
- Open the sign-in panelTop right on a desktop, behind the account icon on a phone.
- Enter your emailThe address you opened the account with, not a later one you added.
- Enter your passwordCase sensitive. The eye icon shows it if you want to check.
- Approve the deviceIf two-factor is on, a six-digit code arrives by text or from your authenticator app.
When sign-in fails
Five causes cover almost every failed attempt we see. Work down the list in order; it is arranged by how often each one turns out to be the answer.
Wrong address, right password
People open an account with a work address and try to sign in with a personal one. If you are not sure which you used, the welcome email will be sitting in one of the two inboxes.
Password manager filling an old value
After a password change, a browser will keep offering the previous one and it looks identical behind the dots. Clear the field by hand, type the current password, then let the manager update itself.
Account temporarily locked
Five wrong attempts lock an account for fifteen minutes. That is a security measure and waiting it out is faster than anything else. If you cannot wait, chat can release it once you have been identified.
Two-factor code not arriving
Text messages sometimes queue for a minute or two on a busy network. Do not request a second code straight away — that invalidates the first one, and then both arrive and neither works. Wait ninety seconds before trying again.
Self-exclusion or a time-out running
A time-out or a self-exclusion blocks sign-in for its full length, and so does GAMSTOP. This is the one case we cannot help with, and the block is not a fault. It is doing exactly what it was set up to do.
Resetting a password
The reset link on the sign-in panel emails a one-time link that is valid for sixty minutes. It only works for the address on the account, which is also why the reset email never arrives if the address was mistyped at sign-up.
Picking a password worth having
Three unrelated words joined together beat a short string of symbols, and a password manager beats both. What matters most is that the password is not one you have used on another site — credential stuffing, where a leak elsewhere is replayed here, is the most common way gambling accounts are compromised.
Staying signed in
A trusted device keeps the session for thirty days unless you sign out. On a shared or borrowed machine, sign out properly rather than closing the tab; closing a tab leaves the session alive for whoever opens the browser next.
Biometrics on a phone
In the app, Face ID and fingerprint unlock can replace the password after the first sign-in. The credential stays on the handset — we receive a yes or a no from the device, never the biometric itself.
Signing in somewhere that is not yours
A work laptop, a hotel machine or a friend’s tablet all carry the same risk, which is that the next person to open the browser inherits your session. Three habits cover it.
- Use a private window, which discards the session when it closes.
- Sign out from the account menu rather than closing the tab.
- If you forgot, sign in later from your own device and end the other sessions from security settings.
The sessions list in security settings shows the device type, the rough location and the last time each one was used. Anything on it you do not recognise should be ended, and the password changed straight afterwards rather than at the weekend.
Signing in is not the same as being verified
An account can be signed in and still not be verified, and the difference only becomes visible at the first withdrawal. Getting verification out of the way on day one saves an irritating wait on the day the money matters.
The two states are separate because they answer separate questions. Signing in proves you hold the credentials. Verification proves you are the person those credentials were issued to, and it is the second one the regulator cares about.
A steady stake beats a clever one over a season. Independent help is one call away: 0808 8020 133, run by GamCare. The door opens at 18 and not before.
Common questions
I have forgotten which email I used.
Search both inboxes for our welcome message. Failing that, live chat can find the account from your name, date of birth and postcode.
Why is my account locked?
Five failed sign-ins lock it for fifteen minutes. A running time-out, self-exclusion or GAMSTOP registration blocks it for their full duration, and that one cannot be lifted early.
Do I need a separate login for the app?
No. One account covers the website, the app, the sportsbook and the casino, with a single balance behind all of it.
Is two-factor authentication compulsory?
Not at the moment, but it is the single most useful thing you can switch on. It sits in account settings under security.
The reset email has not arrived.
Check spam first. If it is genuinely missing after ten minutes, the address on the account is probably not the one you are checking.
